Known for their extensive knowledge and experience in consumable and aerospace manufacturing from previous employment at Kimberly-Clark Professional and Lord Aviation, our cofounders were approached by the Naval Air Systems Command in 2019 for help designing a cleaning cloth that could effectively clean F-18 canopies without scratching or FOD.

M-Squared Innovations

M-Squared is an ISO9001:2015 registered manufacturer of industrial consumables for the civilian and military aerospace, automotive, marine, and composite manufacturing market. Our products help with the preparation, cleaning, and maintaining of surfaces for their intended lifetime.

Our mission is to elevate the quality of the maintainers and operations by elevating cleanliness, preparation, and surface preservation through adherence to best practices and standards. M-Squared currently has two industrial cleaning cloth lines designed to meet your needs, bz® and Tergo. The bz® Performance and Accel cleaning cloths are located on the Qualified Product List of SAE AMS3819 (Aerospace Materials Specification: Cloths, Cleaning for Aircraft Primary and Secondary Surfaces).

M-Squared Innovations is a project-to-product company that focuses directly on our customers’ needs and requirements. This is most evident in our project with the U.S. Department of Defense.

The Problem: Fighter jets, transport and supply aircraft, helicopters, and UAVs all have combinations of sensitive displays, windows, and windscreens. The outdated materials made available to our troops for cleaning these sensitive components are causing damage during the cleaning process.

The Solution: Our deep knowledge of aerospace materials and the requirements for this specific project helped us confidently make a product that works for all aircraft transparencies. And we didn’t stop there. While creating the solution to the original problem, M-Squared Innovations also created the multifunctional bz® Performance cloths. We tested the original base sheet with a wide variety of chemicals used in military aviation including acetone, MEK, MPK, and alcohol. The bz cleaning cloths were a resounding success for solvent compatibility.

Today, bz® Performance cloths are successfully fielded and being used on United States Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps aircraft. The original base sheet material is actively being used to clean aircraft transparencies, aluminum and composite aircraft surfaces, disinfect cockpits and passenger areas, and other general cleaning activities.
